MY FATHER: THOUGHTS ON TRANSFORMING AND ASCENDING AS CHILDREN OF GOD IS FOR THOSE WHO SEEK THE HIGHER POWER.
What is spiritual evolution? Can human beings evolve into something higher? And if they can, does God approve of this?
MY FATHER explores the human quest to spiritually evolve. Humans have traits that are similar to angels. We have energy within us that is similar to and compatible with angels, but this part of our personhood drives us in directions that are disastrous.
Humans desire to increase their similarity to angels and become more like them, and this human quest to be more like the angels is the storyline underscoring the entire Bible, from start to end. MY FATHER presents the Bible’s teaching on how God addresses this desire and the precautions He instills because of this desire, and the fulfillment of this desire that God provides through Jesus. When we place our faith in Jesus Christ, we instantly change into a status equal to an angel. MY FATHER describes this change of status as “transformation.”
MY FATHER takes a close look at the Bible’s description of Jesus Christ. We need to understand who Jesus is in order to understand the change that He can bring. The book explores the themes of fatherhood, personal characteristics, and mingled inherited traits as we think about our Heavenly Father, about His Son Jesus, and about our status as children of the Heavenly Father.
We see that Jesus Christ is a unique personality, a mingling of God and human. The Bible tells us that Jesus’ Father is God Almighty and that His mother is a human woman named Mary. Jesus is what you get when you take the person of God and the person of a human woman and mingle them as one. This mingling happened approximately two thousand years ago in the land of Israel, nine months prior to Jesus’ birth in the town of Bethlehem. Within our conception of time, never before that moment of mingling was there a Son of God, and never since that moment has there been another procreated Son of God.
MY FATHER addresses human transformation and ascension. We transform first, then ascend. The thoughts on ascension build on the foundational material presented in THE RIVER OF GRACE, which explores the Bible's description of the human spirit and the energy that flows through the human spirit.
The human spirit is the energy within us that is similar to angels, and learning how to sense this energy and strengthen it to its fullest human capacity is vital in our Christian walk. Through quietness and meditation, we can learn how to intuitively listen to our human spirit, to the energetic spirit of others and in nature, and to God's Holy Spirit.
MY FATHER addresses the complementary roles of Intuitive Spirituality, Bible study, Contemplative Worship, and Biblical Theology—the PATH FROM INTUITION TO UNDERSTANDING.
